New South Wales (NSW) has fast-tracked ten large-scale renewable energy projects totaling 7.15 GW within the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone. Expected to power over 2.7 million homes by 2031, the initiative includes major solar, wind, and battery developments while streamlining approvals and reinforcing community benefit-sharing. These efforts support NSW’s roadmap to replace coal and lead Australia’s clean energy transition.
